The new formula maintains the original’s look, feel, wear, and performance while meeting more stringent global testing standards beyond US FDA requirements. We will continue selling the original formula until we transition to the global and US-compliant formula labeled Face Shield Classic.

How frequently should I apply the product?

Apply Sunforgettable® Total Protection™ Face Shield Classic SPF 50 a quarter of an hour before exposure to environmental stressors. As with all SPF products, reapply every two hours. For all-day reapplication on the go or directly over makeup, use the Total Protection™ Brush-on Shield SPF 50.

Do I need to moisturize before applying? / Can this replace my moisturizer?

Apply after moisturizer, followed by your favorite Colorescience® foundation or enhancements, and use Sunforgettable® Total Protection™ Brush-on Shield SPF 50 for all-day reapplication.

Can I use this product alongside Even Up® Clinical Pigment Perfector® / All Calm® Clinical Redness Corrector?

Yes, all Face Shields offer versatility for use in your skincare and makeup routines, including mixing, layering, or applying on specific facial areas. To use Face Shield Classic SPF 50 with treatments:

Apply Even Up® Clinical Pigment Perfector® or All Calm® Clinical Redness Corrector first.
Apply Face Shield Classic SPF 50.

My last Face Shield (Classic, Glow, or Bronze) order had PA+++ on the packaging. Which is accurate?

Face Shield (Classic, Glow, and Bronze ) formulations have been modified and retested to meet stricter global standards that surpass US FDA requirements. The new formula has achieved a higher PA rating of PA++++, representing the highest level of UVA protection. The packaging will be updated to reflect this as each shade transitions to the new formula. Packaging with PA+++ is still an authentic Colorescience product that meets US FDA requirements for SPF testing and will continue to be sold until each shade transitions to the globally and US-compliant formula.

Is it appropriate for oily or acne-prone skin?

How long should I wait before going out in the sun?
